Biography
 

Roberto Orangi studied in Florence. As a very young man he attended the Academy of Fine Arts and nude painting courses given by Giannetto Mannucci.

He studied sculpture with Antonio Zappareddu at the “Bottega Fiorentina”.

He has been exhibiting his works since 1965.

He has had many personal exhibitions  to date and has partecipated, on invitation, in many important shows in Italy and abroad.

His works can be found in private and public collections as far afield as :Tampa, Florida and Kijev, Ukraine.

His most important works include : “La Grande Pala” for the altar of the “Chiesa Madre” in Castel di Lucio, Messina.

“The Fountain” and the bust of Enrico Mattei both in bronze at the head office of the “Nuovo Pignone” in Florence.

The paintings of the “Ballet” in the Comunale Theatre of Florence and the “Crucifix” of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Stia, Arezzo.

Another of his works is in the Polo Scientifico in Sesto F.no,  part of the University of Florence.

Giorgio Bubbi, Walter Campani, Antonio Babbini, Antonio Berti, Zeno Sinami, Walter Pasquini, Gianni Benson, Salvatore Cipolla, Alessandra Bruscagli, Carmelo Mezzasalma, Vittorio Vettori, Arduino Segni, Sonia Salvi, Ruth Càrdenas have written about his works.

He lives and works in his atelier in  Via della Cernaia , 49  Florence - Italy
